HOW LONG DO EYELASH EXTENSIONS LAST Depending on how well you care for your lash extensions they could last up to 5 weeks however it is recommended that you get lash top ups every 2-3 weeks to maintain their fullness.
DOES THE TREATMENT HURT? No, you should won't feel any pain throughout the treatment. You will be required to keep your eyes closed for the duration of your treatment to allow the lashes to be applied with ease.
HOW LONG DOES THE TREATMENT TAKE? A Flash Lash Full Set with a Senior Lash Artist or Director will take approximately 75 mins however could take up to 100 mins with a Novice Lash Artist. A Flash Lash Half Set with a Senior Lash Artist or Director will take approximately 50 mins however could take up to 70 mins with a Novice Lash Artist. Top Ups are time dependent but could take 15-20 mins longer with a Novice Lash Artist.
CAN I GET THEM WET? You will need to keep your lashes dry after an eyelash extensions and a LVL treatment for the first 24 hours. Beyond that point, you can wash and swim as usual.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN EYELASH EXTENSIONS AND LVL? Extensions are individual synthetic lashes applied to your own lashes to enhance them, a LVL is a chemical treatment applied to your own lashes which makes them lift and curl similar to hair perm.
CAN I WEAR CONTACT LENSES? Yes, you can wear your contacts during and after having any eyelash extensions treatment. You cannot wear contact lenses during a LVL or eyelash tinting treatment however can wear them immediately after.
HOW DO I CAN CLEAN MY EYES? In the shower or bath as normal, but conscious of the pressure applied when washing as scrubbing can lead to loss of lashes. After washing, pat them dry and brush through. Oil free make-up remover can also be used.
CAN I GET NAIL ART? Yes, our brilliant nail technician can add nail art to all nail treatments which include painting however this needs to be arranged before the treatment begins. Designs can be discussed prior to the appointment and pricing is dependent on complexity.
WHAT IS A NOVICE LASH ARTIST? A Novice Lash Artist is a new member of TLD’s team who is equally qualified but not experienced therefore can take up to 30 mins longer for each treatment.
CAN I GET MY EYELASHES TINTED? Yes, you can get your lashes tinted before getting eyelash extensions but cannot after the treatment if you still have lashes on. It is recommended, but not essential, to have your lashes tinted if you have very light, pale lashes, as this will darken the root and blend in with the lash extension.
CAN I WEAR MASCARA WITH THE LASHES? No, you cannot wear mascara and won’t need to! The oil in mascara can break the bond of glue and weaken the lash however we sell an oil free mascara in the studio for extreme mascara addicts!
DO THEY DAMAGE OWN LASHES? No, when professionally applied and maintained they will not damage your natural lashes. They will simply fall out with you natural lash cycle. Do not attempt to pull out the lashes yourself as this could cause damage your natural lashes. Always get them removed by a professional lash artist.
WHAT TYPE OF LASHES DO YOU USE? We use Silk and Faux Mink lashes which give a beautiful natural look and lasting curl. All of lashes are vegan and cruelty-free.
CAN I HAVE EYELASH EXTENSIONS IF I HAVE AN EYE INFECTION OR SKIN CONDITION? No, I'm afraid not. We're sorry to say that our eye treatments can not be carried out if you have:
Conjunctivitis (within the last month)
Diabetic Retinopathy
Dry eye syndrome
Glaucoma
Trichotillomania
Cataracts
Blepharitus
